What's In My Diaper Caddy

With my first two girls, I never had a diaper caddy.  Well, for one reason, I didn't even really think about it, and two, we lived in such tiny places the need was never really there.  But now that we live in a two story, I knew this was a must.

After visiting my sister in Australia and seeing her survival methods with two kids under two, I saw how amazing a diaper caddy really is.  So I've packed my caddy and prepared a list for you here, in case you need one too!  Because I promise, they are worth it!

1. Diapers and Wipes
I packed the newborn diapers and a pack of water wipes, however I do have a wipe warmer for both upstairs in her nursery and downstairs where the caddy will mainly be.  I truly love the wipe warmer and think its important for my little ones.  There is nothing like a cold shock to a newborn that is so used to warmth.  Many will argue it isn't necessary, and that's fine too.  For me, it's a must.

2. Burp Cloth(s)
I love my Jhen&Co burp cloths.  My sister's littlest had some serious acid reflux and that mean at any given minute she was going to spew/spit up and when she did, it was NEVER in the spot the burp cloth was.  She'd toss her little head and either down my arm or down my shirt it would go.  So I designed these cute, custom oversized burp cloths with that in mind, and I LOVE them!  I also have a stack of extra white burp cloths for those spills and excess clean up.

3. Haakaa Silicone Manual Breast Pump
I mean, brilliant to the one who invented this contraption!  I nursed & pumped with my first two and I always remember filling up that breast pad of the breast not in use.  This manual pump not only lets you release when needed without pulling out the full pump, it also allows you to catch that excess milk instead of filling up a pad just to throw away.  Brilliant, I do say!

4. Diaper Rash Cream & Aquaphor
Pick you favorite, but mine is the Honest Diaper Rash Cream.

5. Paci & Paci Clip
I love the BIBS USA pacis.  They are super cute and well loved by littles everywhere.  Although those newborns don't really need a clip, I have one just in case, so that I can clip it to myself or my little so they don't keep falling in between feeds and changes.  I have a few extra spares in the caddy as well.

6. Disposable Dirty Diaper Bags
We had the diaper genie with our first two girls, but rarely used it.  So this time, and after my sister's advice, we went with disposable diaper bags for those dirty poopy diapers.  They come in multiple colors and scents, and they are the perfect size for those dirty diapers.  You just toss them in the trash and you don't have to worry about your trash stinking up.  I keep them in my diaper bag too, but I'll share more about my diaper bag contents in another post

7. Hand Sanitizer
This is pretty self-explanatory.  Get your favorite, and I'll probably upgrade to the pump kind soon, but for now, the little travel size works.

8. Play Toy/Teether
Because this thing is super cute and once they start fidgeting a toy or teether is a perfect distractor for those changes.

9. Extra Outfit
Keeping an extra outfit or onesie is an absolute necessity.  Those blow outs or spit ups are destined and having a quick change instead of lugging your nakey baby back to the room to change is a major convenience.  I like to keep plain white onesies, mostly because my hubby loves a little babe in a white onesie, but they are the easy outfits to change in and out of throughout the day.

*This is NOT a paid post in any way.  All of these items are my personal choice and most, if not all, of the items can be found on Amazon.  So happy shopping and baby prep!
