Rough Nights Around Here

Nights have been a little rough around here.

The past few months I haven't been wise at managing my time.  I lived in my pj's and messy (but not cute) hair buns, and zoned in and out of awareness as I stared at my computer.  It was constant work and I didn't know how to manage it.

But recently that has changed.  For the better.  We finally put Joss on a schedule which leaves us plenty of time to have some our time.  And instead of working late hours at a computer, we've been having movie nights, Bible Studies, and text chats back and forth with our neighbor friends freaking out over the random thunder storms that make their way through.

And then, just a few nights ago, she came down with something fierce.  It's hard to watch such a little one suffer to find breath under the layers of mucus and kick and squirm over the achy muscles.  It's just a cold of sorts, but still.  I would take that cold in a heart beat if she could only feel peace again.  So this little sicky has been making our nights a little rough.  But no lack of sleep could keep me from cuddles, late pajama tv mornings, and all the extra "mama I lala you's" that come with it.

  1. I'm happy to hear you two have been able to have time together at nights w/movies and bible studies. I love that time together!

  2. Hmmmm, didn't your cousin Adam give you a nickname in high school? jax was Daisy, Jimmy was Slick, what was yours again?

  3. I despise having sick kiddo's. Roxy had croup 2+ years ago and has never left our bed since then. Not ideal. But she's only little once. Haven has allergies like her daddy. I can honestly say I haven't slept a full 8 hours in 4+ years. Not cool.

I'm sorry Jossie was sick. Hope she's better soon.
What kind of schedule did you put her on?

I've been struggling to get the girls on a schedule. and now that we may be putting them in the same bed together I know it will be an interesting transition. But I NEED the break that them sleeping together would hopefully give....eventually. email me if you want.
