Discovering the Joy In the Life I Created

I have been liberated.  I feel so free now that I've been able to express me this week.  I've put myself out in the open and the experience has been therapy.  I couldn't be more thankful to the response I have received since writing "Finding Grace In Her Smile: A Story of Discovering Love and Grace When All Seemed Lost".

So I've had lots of time to think back and re-evaluate the things and people that I love and appreciate.  I couldn't capture it all this week, but the weekly makings I experienced and soaked in lie in the beauty of my surroundings.

And the face that I once struggled to see with the eyes of Grace, has become my Forgiveness.  I have learned to absorb what matters most, and forgive myself for the choices I've made.  So with a breath of fresh air, I inhale her for the rest of the moments that will soothe my inner most fears and failures.  Her beauty destroys all anger, because she was created in HIS image.

So I'll get down on my knees and hands and chase after her through the house.  I'll let her take her spoon during lunch and chew as I wait patiently for her next bite.  We'll chat on the phone with Papa or Daddy to surprise them at work.  I'll pull out the neatly folded laundry because it makes her laugh.  I will let go of what I used to hold onto and merely hold onto her.

I am thankful for this life I've been given and I'm discovering the joy the life I've created.  This week has been a challenge but a love, because I grew a little bit as a person, mother, wife, and CHILD.

  1. This is a beautiful post! There is something 'freeing' about putting your emotions out in the open. Sometimes it helps just to share what's in your heart and to read responses of people you love, as well as total strangers!
Love all of the photos. Truly inspiring!

  2. Enjoy, enjoy, enjoy!!

You can't disappoint God. I didn't get this for a long time. I heard preachers preach this...you can't disappoint God...but didn't really get it until I read the children's book Just the Way You Are by Max Lucado.

You are doing with Jossyln (sp?)what God longs to do with each of us...just enjoy being with each other. I think you would be blessed if you read Max's book as well.

    Have a great night!

  3. What gorgeous pictures and what an incredible post. You've inspired me to be the best mama today ever...sometimes I have to remind myself to be patient and to take life at my two year-old's speed--not my own. Have a wonderful day!

  7. I... love... your blog! Its beautiful. And this post is great. I am just 10 and a half weeks pregnant, and coming to grips with the reality that I am going to have to be on my face before the Father in order to be a good mother. It has been something I have been thinking a lot about this week.

Thank you for your blog. : )
