Fit for a sorta fairytale...

Our story is unique to some and ordinary to others.

We met in high school when our two worlds collided.  He was short and popular.  I was tall, thin, and under the radar.  He cared about old cars and well developed girls.  I cared about basketball and church youth group.  I was the type of girl who was paid off to do other people's homework.  He was the type that paid.  We weren't meant for each other.

But the seating assignment in our Algabra II class felt otherwise.  We sat close enough that I can hear him mock my hot pink converse shoes.  Close enough for him to so sweetly offer to turn in my homework assignments for me.  Close enough for me to catch him copying those homework assignments.

We began to know each other well enough that our friendship consisted of note passing.  Notes describing how great a kisser his girlfriend was, or whether or not I could hook my teammate up with him.  It was odd, but playful.  And a relationship that started every time we walked into the classroom, and ended as soon as we left the classroom.

And just days before my 16th birthday, I received a random note asking for my phone number.  A memory I will never forget.  It was the first phone number request I ever received... and the last.

Fast forward nine years and those two oddly paired friends are each other's best.  And after heartbreaks, mistakes, frustration, sorrow, and some good dose of REALITY, those two are US.

Our hearts continue to be molded to love deeper.  Our hearts are forever intertwined to be One in Him.  Our hearts are two made stronger with each other's.

And that lanky lonely basketball player is now a fuller figured, mother of many, passionate wife to the punk, hoodie wearing, Cadillac loving kid turned tender hearted, child loving, God Fearing, family man!  Which only makes for interesting adventures to come.

So our lives are fit for a sorta fairytale and her lovely Valentine Linky...

  14. I came to your blog through a sorta fairytale...this story is beautiful but I must say that I looked around your blog and I am in awe of your entire story under the "Finding Grace" tab...WOW! Reading about your boys, and your internal struggles after having your daugther and just the whole story in general had me tearing up at my desk. God is awesome and it seems like He has/is doing amazing things in your life. Thank you for sharing! :)
