So, yes indeed it has been a while since I posted an update and I have a good reason why. Our home has been filled with three new energetic boys making us a family of 9 with one more little girl on the way. We have a 2 year old, 5 yr old, a now 7 yr old, 7 year old, 10 year old, 13 yr old, and a 17 yr old. They are quite the handful, but our heart has truly been blessed by each one. Our biggest surprise, however, was how deeply we attached to the 2 year old. We thought at first that having a two year old and being pregnant (along with the 6 other boys) would be incredibly difficult, yet it has been the most love developing process I have ever gone through. My heart breaks when he is away from me and Jon is just so into that boy that I fall more and more in love with him when I see him interact with the toddler. They have specific moments that they spend together and today, the little one cried for Jon when Jon took the older boys fishing... my heart was happy!!!
We are officially on our 21st week in our pregnancy (Jon says "happy birthday" to Josselyn every sunday when our weeks change). I think I never posted the news, WE ARE HAVING A BABY GIRL! She's due in early December. Recently I've been experiencing the joys of feeling her kick and Jon's waiting for the day when he gets to feel her too!
I've been having the fun of starting to decorate her room. I have to get VERY creative since we can't paint, but I'll post pictures of the progress since most of you wont get the pleasure of seeing it in person (unless of course you want to vacation in Arkansas).
Some other exciting news... we're getting the chance to FLY back to California for a week: August 27-September 1. We are super excited!!! I am especially looking forward to this trip because I can finally fulfill all the cravings of the food back home (especially Baja Mexican food). TexMex is gross!
