Tea Party Thursday

Photobucket

You're invited to Tea {or Coffee} with me!  And I so want you to come, sip and stay awhile!

If we were having tea together, I would use the new tea pot I got from Ross of white and diamonds so I can feel like a princess, and pour myself again another cup of Earl Grey Tea {its my flavor of choice}.

I would tell you that my husband, although he knows how to get on my last nerve, also knows how to make me fall deeper and deeper in love with him.  I would tell you how last night he found me cleaning and gave me the biggest hug, then told me to not look and make noises so I couldn't hear until he told me to stop.  So I went to Josselyn and made silly sounds and suddenly I heard our wedding song play through our computer speakers.  He was standing beside me and said "can I have this dance" and there in our little living space danced like we had just said "I do".

I would tell you that moments later our little one came screaming over pulling at my legs wanting "up up" and when she was finally rescued from her abandonment, she tried to push daddy away from mommy so she could dance with me.  And I would tell you how at that moment my heart burst with LOVE.

I would tell you that earlier that night we were treated out to dinner by my brother and sister-in-law (Jen, who can be found here) and I decided to put on the 4 inch stilettos that were packed away for 10 months.  I would tell you that I discovered that I've managed to add extra pounds that my feet can no longer handle and by the end of the night I was begging to go home.  I would tell you that this morning I woke up with aching feet, knees and hips and I would make a mental note to not wear heels again.

I would tell you that as it is getting closer to the holidays I am greatly missing my sister who's so far away in Australia.  I would tell you stories of how she and I use to be when we were kids and all the bickering and laughter we shared.  I would tell you how much I loved having her with me as I struggled with the move back to California from Arkansas and how I dreaded her leaving.  But I would tell you that I am loving this new bond I'm developing with my sister-in-law, Jensen and all the fun we're having learning photography together.

I would end the conversation gushing over my baby girl and all the amazing things she continues to impress us with.  I would brag and brag and then ask, "so what's new with you?"

So please, join me for tea (or coffee) and have a little girly moment chit chatting about your day or week, or everything in between.
1. Write a post about what Tea Flavor you'd be drinking and what kind of Tea Delights you'd be eating...
2. Let us know what kind of things you'd talk about.
3. Grab a Button and Link Up!  Be Sure to Have Fun.

  2. I have already written a post for today, but I think that I'm just going to have to write another one. :) JUST so I can link up to this. Dancing in the living room with your husband made me smile (and made me pea green with envy).

And 4" heels! Kudos to you! I can barely stand to wear my 3" heels anymore... my feet have never been the same since I was pregnant!

anyone who has ever had a child taken out of there life can relate to what I am going through I am sure.

it has been a VERY rough day and quite frankly the months leading up to it weren't that easy either.

  10. I love this! I love all these little tidbits ~ what a sweet moments with the hubs (and then the baby!) And I had to laugh at your comment on my rose garden picture - ha ha! Well, the 2 boys were in school, so it was just me and the Tiny Tornado; she was in the stroller, still in her footie pajamas. Wouldn't that be fun? We could sit and chat, and our little girls could wander the rose garden! :-)
