The Heart of Beauty

Can I make a beautiful shout out?  OK, I will!  Mandy, at A Sorta Fairytale, a blogger who I first met when I started blogging, became one of my closest friends I have yet to meet.  And, for Christmas, I received a pretty little package with this beautiful gift inside.  And for my birthday I rocked that pretty HANDMADE necklace and I loved it!

And to answer for Day 2 of Project 31 at Mandy's Blog, She Breathes Deeply, What Makes You Uniquely You?

I feel most confident when I am not trying to please anyone other than my husband.  I feel most alive when I can embrace the odd shapes that form the figure I have.  But what makes me unique, lies under the skin.

I believe my heart is what makes me, ME!  I can change and decorate any of my exterior, but my heart radiates a unique beauty that only fits me.  And the greatness and shortcomings that you allow to transform into Love in your heart bursts through the seems of your skin and real unique beauty shines.

My heart is me.  At it's finest.  At it's lowest.  And it's happiest. At it's most beautiful.

She Breathes Deeply

And I just celebrated a another year of BIRTH!  So I was out and about and unable to respond to all the lovely comments and posts I want to read, so I promise I'll get to each of you, because I want to know you!!!

  3. Happy Birthday! I know, I meant to post that yesterday, but I was so excited to check out the project 31 page that I got distracted, hehe. I am not surprised you inspired this project... I haven't been reading your blog all that long, but you inspire me as well! And I think you got it just right with this post! Your heart really does shine through in both your writing and your photos. You are a beautiful person, and I am so happy to have "met" you!

    And that necklace rocks! =)

I love that you're doing this project... I love learning new things about you, and watching you grow as a person. You're one of my dearest friends, Jhen! I'm so happy to have met you!

  5. I really enjoy reading your blog. I feel like we have grown up together(not really though since we never really interacted as children) and are continuing to grow through our paralleling journeys as mothers! Your posts always allow me to see things from a different perspective and prove that it is okay to embrace and love yourself.

  11. I'm so excited by this little project. I started out saying that I wanted to do it but that I wasn't sure I'd have time. Then, I decided to just go ahead and pick a few to answer since Mandy encouraged us not to feel like we had a dealine to meet; but after reading just the first few days of other people's I want to do them all! :-) I did the first in the form of a letter to my daughter, and I can't beleive how inspiring it was to sort through my own thoughts like that. Such an inspiring little exercise.
