What's Been Going On

Much has gone on in our little Stark world.  If you have been following on Instagram you might know a little bit about some changes that have been happening.  And I've had major writer's block for this blog.  In fact, I keep toying with shutting it down.  But after processing all the reasons and realizing I like having this space, I've decided to keep it (again).  As random or collective as it may be.

Anyway, Jon and I have really had to evaluate the next couple of years and how we would like them to go.  Granted, we never get to fully plan and expect it to go as planned, but we can start making wise decisions to further our goals.  So that's what we started doing...

Over the past summer, we got denied, or rather encouraged to postpone our chance to adopt.  They gave us a long check list of things we must complete first in our personal lives before we can move further.  At first, it hit me hard.  I felt like a failure as a person, wife and mother to be told I'm unstable to care for a child.  But after much processing, I realized 1. how great that they are really putting emphasis on the safety of the child and not on me, and 2. I really do need to focus on some things first before hand.  So it was the best decision made for us.

So while we started working on "checking things off our list" I realized how badly I wanted siblings for Jossie, and since we can't adopt for another couple of years, why not give her a sibling biologically.  After months of praying and planning, we started and immediately found out we were preggers  YAY! And now, I sit here sucking on Ranch Corn Nuts to soothe my ALL DAY sickness!  Blah!

Anyhooooo... Jon also enrolled in College as he decided what he wanted to make of himself career wise.  He has taken on a lot emotionally, so he asked me to make being a house wife and stay at home mom my number one priority at this season for him, which I gladly accepted.  I think, although I always wanted that position, hearing him personally ask that of me was what I needed to motivate me for the task.  I do love being home with Joss.

And... we're moving.  I know.  We move ALL the time!  But this time with a goal in mind.  So we're excited.

So much is in store that we're excited and nervous.  So once this morning sickness subsides and we're all settled again, expect baby bump pics and lovely Stark Updates.  :)
